Blessed As Blessed Can Be
For example, when planning a birthday party, you get to witness someone's face light up as the moment arrives when they realize what someone has done to make them feel special. When planning a corporate event, you get to see people lighten up and take some time to enjoy themselves instead of working themselves to the bone. And in wedding planning, you get to not only witness the coming together of two people in love, but you also get the chance to work with some of the most amazing vendors in.the.entire.world. (This is not an exaggeration.)
So, needless to say, when the uber amazing Crystal George of Crystal George Studios created a concept shoot with Adele's "Set Fire To The Rain" as the soundtrack, it was bound to knock our socks off! We are sitting here barefoot and breathless over her vision come to life, and so obviously, we want to share it with each of you! (Be sure to note the other amazing vendors she partnered with to make this dream a reality!)

I LOVE PACKAGES!!!!
It's a crisp, cool day in March (yesterday, to be specific). I had just had a marvelous day - after work, I made my way to Pizza Hut to pick up a medium cheese pan pizza and two twenty ounce Pepsi's. Then, I made my way to my much anticipated hair appointment.
Come on, ladies out there...you know that feeling when you know you're about to be pampered for approximately two hours and no one can bug you when you're in that chair. Can I get a witness? {Crowd yells "AMEN!"} Thank you very much.
Anyways, I was not only getting my hair done, but I was getting my hair done with one of my amazing girlfriends, and we were having a pizza party while we were at it. We even made plans to go to Target to peruse the goodness that can always be found there. Again, can I get a witness? {Crowd bellows a strong "AMEN!"} Thank you - you guys are awesome!
The moral of this story? Just when I thought that this day couldn't get any better, my Android phone says "ping." This means I have an email, so I check said email, and it says that the BRAND NEW BUSINESS CARDS FOR SOMETHING PLANNED HAVE SHIPPED!!!!
To that, all I have to say is, "SQUEEEEEE!!!!!!!"
Am I a crazy person? Probably. All I know is that every day, the dreams Laurie and I have had about helping people achieve their dream events is slowly but surely becoming more of a reality. Next week, we will have our official business cards, and I can't wait until we have them in our hot little hands. Even more than that, I can't wait to start passing them out!
So, I just wanted to share this fun little update with you all, and to once again reiterate the excitement and unadulterated joy we are feeling in our hearts right now. Stay tuned for even more exciting things! We promise to take you all along for the ride!

Caitlin

The Very First Post
I can't believe that we've decided to make a go at something we are both so incredibly passionate about, and I'm so excited that we're getting to do this together! This is the first post to Something Planned's website, and I can't wait until we have this thing 100% done and up and rolling. I hope we overload the internet with so much content that will help peoplke in regards to event planning! It's a hefty goal, but as determined as we are, I know we can do it!
With that, I ask you to hang with us as we continually work on the website and begin to get our name out there. We encourage you to look around and ask questions! We're a brand new company and we are so hungry for helping other people. We are in the process of planning a few events, and we look forward to sharing tips, tricks, and the process with each and every one of you!
We'd also like to take a moment to thank all of the people who have believed in us and encouraged us. From esteemed colleagues in the events world to our beloved family and friends, we have been so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for us as we continue to chase down our dreams! Thank you so much for the doors and windows you've opened for us - we could not be more grateful or appreciative!
If you know anyone who is in need of guidance and assistance in planning an event, we welcome the opportunity to meet with them and help them execute their dreams. It's something we both are so in love with, and we can't wait to share that love with you. We'd love to take someone's jotted down ideas and turn them into "Something Fun, Something Grand, Something Special, Something Planned!"
Yours Truly,
Caitlin & Laurie
